This incident caused the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
